Two storey conservatory
Client: Based in Leicestershire in a new build residential situation.
Brief: To design, supply and install a two storey glass and aluminium structure to a substantial new build property to encompass a dining room to the lower level and an addition to the master bedroom to the upper. The design was required to fulfil the Clients’ aesthetic and functional requirements whilst at the same time conforming to pre-existing planning constraints.
Summary: The initial consultation took place in early September and an acceptable design was agreed by the end of that month. Thereafter the site was surveyed and detailed technical drawings prepared for approval by our Client and their architect. After a number of iterations relating to the design versus planning constraints issue approval was obtained in mid December 2005 and delivery and installation was arranged and carried out in February 2006.
The finished structure is both elegant and imposing. A two story conservatory cum extension cum roof-light.
