Orangery with roof-light
Client: Based in West Sussex in a period property extended considerably over time.
Brief: To replace two sets of PVCu sliding doors, two PVCu windows and a set of PVCu French doors plus a solution to transform an existing flat roof kitchen/dining extension.
Summary: Having attended site in early May 2005 our designer ascertained that the Client was in the first instance looking to refresh existing glazed elements but more importantly were looking to brighten up there dining/kitchen area, an element of which was housed in a flat roof extension. Our solution was to propose a pseudo orangery with large areas of glazing to the extension and a leaded roof incorporating a hipped roof-light.
The finished product comprising sliding doors, French doors, windows and orangery with its elegant roof-light provide crisp unifying features linking the various elements of the house.
