Newspaper recommends conservatory restaurant
A national newspaper has recommended that Brits planning to visit Cumbria eat and sleep at The Cottage in the Wood.
The accommodation, with its conservatory restaurant and nine refurbished bedrooms, is described as "the perfect antidote to a long day's hike on the fells".
According to the Independent, the conservatory houses an award-winning eatery, which is overseen by owner Liam Berney, who has previously worked at the Savoy in London.
Serving a seasonal British menu with touches of continental flavour, the restaurant is "light and spacious" and a great place to enjoy local foods.
Dishes on offer include Cumbrian chorizo, loin of fell-bred lamb in merlot gravy and celeriac gratin.
Conservatories can be ideal places to enjoy a meal, although it is important that those planning to build one get the appropriate consent.
Thisisthewestcountry.co.uk recently revealed that Yeovil Town Council's planning department is to consider an application to build a conservatory onto a house on the town's Abbey Road.
